Toilet Training at ACT
Toilet Training services are generally provided in a parent consultation manner and are a short-term intervention. Assessment, Consultation & Treatment works with families to identify what model of toilet training intervention best suits the client and their family and provides instruction and modeling for the family to successfully toilet train their child. Services may vary in intensity depending on the stage of toileting training and needs of the family.

- Language and communication
- Socialization and emotional functioning
- Cognition
- Adaptive living
- Motor skill
Toilet Training Services Include:
- Aim to identify any pre-requisite skills that first need to be addressed before actual elimination training is targeted
- Are provided in a consultative manner in which parents and caregiver learn strategies to use to increase toileting skills
- Utilize principles of Applied Behavior Analysis including breaking down skills into more manageable tasks or steps, and reinforcement or reward systems

How soon can we get started?
We are typically able to schedule your first assessment within 2-3 weeks. Once your final assessment is complete, we will discuss the recommended treatment hours with the parents and put together a regular therapy schedule.
