What We Do At ACT
ACT provides Adaptive Skills Training to children, adolescents, young adults and families. ACT works with individuals with a variety of delays and disorders including autism spectrum disorders, Intellectual Disability, Down Syndrome, and those with OCD and ADHD, as well as with speech and language delays.

Assessment & Diagnosis
ACT offers a wide variety of evaluation and educational testing options. Evaluation and Educational Testing is useful for identifying patterns of learning strength & weakness, screaning for learning disorders, identifying differences & disabilities, clasifying an ADD/ADHD diagnosis, identifying Autism & more.
Applied Behavior Analysis & Autism Services
ABA services focus on reducing a client’s problematic behaviors. Problematic behaviors are those that interfere with an individual’s functioning in their home, community and/or school. Behavior strategies are used by therapists and taught to parents and caregivers to decrease the problematic behaviors.
Early Intervention
Assessment, Consultation & Treatment provides Early Intervention services. These services are provided to children 3 years old and younger who demonstrate delays in one or more areas of development. Services generally began with a brief developmental evaluation during which a client is described in terms of where they are in their development compared to others their age.
Adaptive Skill Training
Adaptive Skills Training aims to increase a client’s life skills toward a greater level of Assessment, Consultation & Treatment develops with clients individualized goals for intervention based on age and socially appropriate norms, which are prioritized with clients so as to intensely target a few adaptive skills at a time before addressing other skills.
Toilet Training
Toilet Training services are generally provided in a parent consultation manner and are a short-term intervention. Assessment, Consultation & Treatment works with families to identify what model of toilet training intervention best suits the client and their family and provides instruction and modeling for the family to successfully toilet train their child.
Homework Training
Assessment, Consultation & Treatment generally works with families to increase their child or adolescent’s compliance with their homework. Services are not aimed at increasing a child’s academic skills, but instead to increase their ability to remain on task and work independently to complete their homework. Services are generally provided in a mixed individual and parent consult model.

While most agencies providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)/behavioral, adaptive skills training and other services rely on bachelors-level staff to directly work with clients, Assessment, Consultation & Treatment is committed to selecting highly educated, and experienced staff.
ACT Therapists are Masters-Leven Clinicians Trained In: Developmental Psychology, Skills Training, Behavior Modification, and Parent Training & Consultation.
